JUROR: Bosnian born, Dragana Crnjak moved to the United States in 1997. She received her BFA in Painting from Myers School of Art at the University of Akron, Ohio in 2002 and her MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 2004. She is recipient of Virginia Museum of Fine Art Professional Fellowship in drawing and multiple Individual Excellence Awards from Ohio Arts Council. Ms. Crnjak iscurrently a Professor of Art Graduate Faculty Member at Youngstown State University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and is collected by numerous private and public collections.See her work at https://draganacrnjak.com

ELIGIBILITY: This is an open, juried competition for works in all media. All work must be original. Entries may not have been exhibited in a previous SPCARTS juried exhibit. Entries may not have been exhibited in a previous or current JURIED exhibit within 50 miles.Works must be completed within the last 5 years. Accepted prints/photos/giclee prints must not be exhibited in area galleries concurrent to this exhibition. Open to artists 18 or older residing in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Clarion, Clearfield, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Somerset, Venango, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

MEDIA: Artists may submit up to three entries in any two or three dimensional media including photography. Entry must not exceed 60” in any direction. (Including framing) Total weight must not exceed 200 pounds.Entries must be ready for exhibition. If Photography, please indicate if printed on (rag) paper or canvas and if a Silver Gelatin Print, Digital Inkjet Print, Giclee Print (must not be a copy of an original work) or Continuous Tone Print (from a commercial provider, such as Kodak) IMAGE FILES must be labeled properly. SPCARTS will not be responsible for misidentifying images that are not labeled with “Artist last nameEntry # -Title.jpg.

ENTRY FEE: A $40.00 non-refundable entry fee (US funds only) must accompany entries. Use the paypal button on the entry form page.

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY: All works accepted for inclusion in the Greater Latrobe School District (GLSD) Exhibition and Gala will be insured by the GLSD. All works accepted and delivered early to Greater Latrobe High School (including any works purchased by the GLSD) will be insured, stored and delivered to SAMA on the delivery dates stipulated in this prospectus. All work will be insured by the Southern Alleghenies Museum while in the Museum. Neither the Southwestern Pennsylvania Council for the Arts, Inc., the Greater Latrobe School District nor the Southern Alleghenies Museum is responsible for any damage to work during transit (except for works in transit from Greater Latrobe High School to SAMA delivered by representative of the GLSD.)

SALE OF WORK: SPCArts will retain 25% commission on any works purchased by the GLSD. For works accepted into SAMA, the museum charges 20% commission. A 20% commission retained SPCARTS.
ACCEPTED ENTRIES: All 2D entries must be suitably framed and wired for hanging. All accepted works must be ready to install. Inadequate framing/construction results in disqualification for exhibit and ineligibility for insurance coverage. A Southwestern Pennsylvania Council for the Arts or the Southern Alleghenies Museum representative will decide if work is suitable for exhibition. Juror Notification Cards/emails will be sent October 1, 2025. Notices for works accepted for inclusion in the GLSD Exhibition will be sent with Juror Notification Cards.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORK, SAMA: Work accepted for inclusion in the SPCArts 30th Annual Exhibition must be delivered to the Southern Alleghenies Museum, Ligonier, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, Nov 5, 6, 7, 2025, 12:00 noon – 4:30 pm & Saturday, November 8, 10am – noon. Hanging and location of all accepted artwork at the SAMA Museum is solely at the discretion of the Museum Coordinator. All artwork must remain on display throughout the exhibition (February 1, 2026)

PICK UP ALL WORKS: Pick-up all works at the Southern Alleghenies Museum at Ligonier Valley Wednesday thru Friday February 4, 5, 6, 2026, 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, 10am – noon.

CASH PRIZES: Awarded at the discretion of Juror.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORK, GLSD: Work accepted for inclusion in the GLSD Art Exhibition must be delivered to the Greater Latrobe High School, Center for Student Creativity, 131 High School Road.
